Eight students attended our recent Master Class with Danielle Gould.
Danielle Gould is a world-class dancer, choreographer, instructor, aerialist, and adjudicator from North Vancouver, Canada. She began her performing career with the Hungarian National Ballet, spending six seasons at the Hungarian State Opera House, where she performed an extensive repertoire of iconic classical and contemporary ballets. She then joined The House of Dancing Water in Macao, China, created by the renowned Cirque du Soleil director Franco Dragone, expanding her expertise in aerial work and complex staging. More recently, Danielle further broadened her skills by performing and coaching Sway Pole for BPM Dance Productions Hong Kong in a special performance for City of Dreams Macao.
Danielle has been a guest instructor and choreographer for the Festival de Ballet in San José, Costa Rica, and has adjudicated competitions across Canada. In 2023, she served as Dance Manager, Choreographer, and Performer for North Star Performing Art Management’s cultural exchange tour of China, collaborating with 13 universities across 11 cities.
Her dance education includes training at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, the National Ballet School of Canada, and the Goh Ballet Academy. She received the prestigious Solo Seal Award from the Royal Academy of Dance at age 16 and, at 17, earned a full scholarship to the John Cranko Academy in Stuttgart through the Youth America Grand Prix.
Beyond performing, Danielle’s choreography has been presented both locally and internationally, earning her recognition and awards. In 2017, she created the season-opening production for the Hungarian State Opera House. She has also appeared in Hollywood films, including Red Sparrow and Colette. She recently was the lead actress and choreographer of an independent film that is receiving numerous accolades on the festival circuit.
Outside of dance, Danielle holds certifications in Yoga, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Barre Fitness, and Pilates Reformer. A passionate traveler, she took a year off to explore South America by motorcycle with her partner, an experience that enriched her both personally and artistically. She continues to explore new dance styles, aerial work, acting, and management studies, inspiring those around her.
